Event description

Description

Join the acclaimed writer and journalist Philip Hoare and the award-winning playwright Evan Placey for a session which will enrich your pupils' understanding of their set texts, from the poetry of Wilfred Owen, to Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Philip will be showing his recent short film, I Was A Dark Star Always (2018), based on Wilfred Owen's life and poetry, and Evan will be explaining how he adapted Stevenson's classic novel for the stage. The session will show how creative re-writing and reimagining can help sharpen your pupils' appreciation for literary analysis, and is suitable for KS3 upwards.
