About this event

🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾

This is an interesting walk that will get your heart pumping. There are a few hills to climb and some road walking to get the pace to a good level. Unfortunately, we can not avoid stiles on this one. You will see some amazing views and if you look carefully, you will spot a tiger, a gorilla and a 4-foot owl.

🗣 W ALK LEADERS: Paul Coxon

Please arrive by 6.15 pm we will set off at 6.30 pm sharp. If this is your first walk then please seek out the walk leader who will be wearing a red walk leader badge.

❓ ROUND-ROBIN QUESTION: What are your favourite type of nuts? (It's National Grab Some Nuts Day which is all about recognising and celebrating this healthy, tasty and versatile treat!

Note: we often meet in places where there is no postcode, so we encourage you to use the What3Words app which will take you to the exact location.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).
  • A drink.

⛑ RULES TO KEEP YOU SAFE :

  • We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. You will be notified by email, but we will also update the Facebook event if we need to cancel a walk.
  • We will only ever walk in groups of 15 or less. If we have more than 15, we will have two walk leaders and walk in opposite directions.
  • Sweets at the halfway stage - we call this "squidge and dip" - hand sanitiser, then dip in for your free sweets. If we have furry friends, then we also have "treats" at the halfway stage.
