Brinny Does The Queer Space - Online

An intimate guided mindfulness meditation event for the queer and trans community of Brighton (in person) and beyond (online), led by non binary coach Brinny Does.


Many of you will know Brinny's super hyper side from the queer and trans fitness classes they lead! At this event you'll experience the calmer, more grounded side of Brinny. With their background in Mindfulness meditation and experience facilitating groups they are here to support you to feel safe and more grounded.


This 1 hour event will be a space for you to connect with yourself in a safe and supportive environment. Brinny will lead Mindfulness practices to help you regulate and to process.


The world is a stressful place right now and Brinny felt a calling to create this space for the community to remember our connection can ground us, affirm us and make it feel loved.


What to Expect:

Brinny will welcome you on arrive and there will be time to settle in. They will then lead guided Mindfulness practices - including meditation, small minimal movement and stretching and invite you to journal after the meditation if you want to. Relaxing music will also be played at points during the event.


Schedule:

When you join the Zoom meeting you will enter into a waiting room. At 1:05pm Brinny will open up the waiting room and welcome you to the virtual space. Please note this is a hybrid event so Brinny will also be speaking to people in person.

It is requested to put yourself on mute during the session, you do not have to be on camera but of course you are welcome to be, there will be invitation to come off mute to reflect or ask questions, if you're comfortable.

Once everyone is settled and happy Brinny will lead a variety of guided mindfulness practices to support you. These practices will be invitational and adapted according to your needs.


What you might need:

Wear clothes you are comfortable in and bring layers to keep warm

Suggested items to have on you: a bottle of water, fidget toys, earplugs and/or glasses you may require for sound and light sensitivity, notepad and pen if you want to as there will be an invitation to write. It's suggested to be in a quiet private space where you won't be disturbed, and where you feel safe.
