Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

The world is changing. What do you want your society to look like in the future?

We are delighted that Bristol has been selected as the UK city in an exciting European partnership. Over 1000 citizens in 30 European countries are being asked to share their visions of a desirable and sustainable future. The results will then be reported to the European Commission, and will shape where European research and innovation funding goes in the future.

We are seeking 40 people from all backgrounds to come to a one-day discussion forum on Saturday 16th of January in At-Bristol Science Centre. All refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day, and you will be given £75 to contribute towards your travel and other expenses.

Absolutely no knowledge or experience is necessary. We just want to hear what you think! We want to hear from people aged 18 and above of any gender, educational background, ethnicity, occupation and from anywhere in the UK or Bristol. One participant from the day will then be invited on an all-expenses paid trip to Milan on the 21st and 22nd of April, to share their vision with other citizens from across Europe.

Please register your interest online by 5pm, Thursday 7th of January to be considered.

Based in Bristol, the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres has been chosen as the UK partner for this exciting European project. We are a national charity that brings together the UK’s major science engagement and education organisations that together engage 20 million people of all ages and backgrounds with science.
