There is a myriad of research and information about the importance of nutrition and its effect on overall health, particularly as we age. However it is not always clear how this can be applied into clinical practice. Do you know what studies to pick as your evidence base and why they are relevant to your case? How comfortable do you feel with stepping away from “one size fits all protocols” to create your own evidence-informed case management process.

Cytoplan goes on a practitioner education roadshow of the UK and Ireland. Coming soon to a venue near you, expert nutrition practitioner and educator Miguel Toribio-Mateas will be leading clinical workshops on case management, from simple to complex, focusing on cognitive, cardiovascular and immune health.

Miguel is a doctoral researcher in cognitive health who’s experienced the research process from the laboratory bench – having completed a lab-based Masters in Clinical Neuroscience focusing on brain ageing – to the delivery of science findings in the consultation room, delivering quality individualised nutrition care to his clients from 2009. He also has a longstanding background of 15+ years in life sciences and medical publishing and has trained scientists and researchers around the world.

In his sessions Miguel will not only help you find the most suitable research to your case, but to make sense of it and to also to apply it in context. We’re excited to introduce this as an innovative way to learn from one of the leaders in the field. Miguel’s sessions will be complemented by applied technical workshops by Registered Nutritional Therapist Helen Drake.

We are bringing our roadshow event to 7 locations across the UK (Edinburgh, Manchester, York, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin & London). The event will focus on three core effects of ageing; cognitive, cardiovascular and immune health and will not only bring you the latest research but also provide you with practical clinical applications which you can utilise in your practice.
