Find out about the thinking behind this major regeneration scheme and the plans for Phase 2. As Wapping Wharf comes to life with residents now moved in and retailers opening on site, members of the public are invited to a 'tour and talk' led by Mark Osborne, director of Alec French Architects, the architects behind Wapping Wharf, on Saturday 10th September.
Start point is Chandlers House, left of the main entrance to the building on the east side of Gaol Ferry Steps.
The programme will include:
- An overview of the masterplan for Wapping Wharf, one of the final pieces of the jigsaw in the regeneration of the Floating Harbour
- A view of the design proposals for the next phase of development, and for CARGO, which is currently under contstruction.
- A look back at the design proposals for Phase 1, now complete, which includes 194 homes in total and a host of independent retailers.
- A panoramic view of the site forms part of the tour, which will take in the public areas within the development and a trip up to the roof of M Shed.
