Event description

Description

Join walk leader Alastair Brook and multi-disciplinary design studio City ID as they lead a city centre walk along part of the Brunel Mile (a dedicated pedestrian and cycle route that runs from Bristol Temple Meads to ss Great Britain). Hear and see how Bristol created a unique concept – Bristol Legible City - to improve people’s understanding and experience of the city from mapping and infrastructure to public art and urban design, and how current innovations are leading the way globally.

This walk is part of the events programme accompanying our You Are Here exhibition celebrating the Bristol Legible City project. Bristol Legible City helps, guides and inspires people to explore the city and what it offers; encouraging people to visit and move about Bristol in a more sustainable way, supporting better public health and a greener city.

This guided walk will last up to 90 minutes. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Please note that the Architecture Centre will be documenting this event through photography and audio recording.

This event is part of WalkFest (1 - 31 May 2018).
