Bristol in the Sky - Swoon

For an exclusive period, Events in the Sky will operate a 4 day pop-up restaurant in Bristol. Open to the public, this event will see some of the regions best restaurants transfer their menus and dining experiences to our unique sky table, suspended 100 feet in the air. The table seats 22 guests, with guest chefs and waiting team serving from the pop-up kitchen in the centre of the table whilst in the sky. Guests are securely fastened into their seats before the table is raised to the dining height of 100 feet and their gourmet experience begins. It’s truly a gastronomic experience like no other!
Swoon is a family run company, conceived and set up by Bruno Forte, his sister, wife and mother. Gelato, (widely called ice cream in days gone by) has been part of the Forte family psyche for over 100 years ,when we left Italy and set up little ice cream and coffee parlours all over the British Isles. We didn’t just make it - we ate it whenever we could - in summer, winter, autumn or spring.
We eat it now at the seaside, in city streets, in elegant restaurants, on cruise ships - in fact anywhere - even up in the air! We even feed it to our children knowing that the ingredients we use are fresh and wholesome.
This gelato is created from scratch in our flagship store ‘Swoon' at College Green. And by the way, gelato is different from the generic ‘ice cream’ - it is smoother, silkier and warmer, carrying much less fat content.
