Bristol Industrial PhD Placement Speed Networking event!

How does it work?

Each attendee gets a 5-minute session with each person. Put your nametag on, take a seat, and once the clock starts - get chatting! Every 5 minutes you will hear a bell, which is your cue to change partners.

After the "speed" networking is over, all attendees will be invited to stay and network further in a more open, informal environment. This space invites those participants who would like to consider and further discuss possible placement opportunities further with one another.

Why should I take part?

For the Industry: Speed networking presents an opportunity to meet a number of Bristol Doctoral Researchers working within Science & Engineering subjects - you can explore the range of skills and experience available in this fantastic cohort of researchers interested in working in industry.

For the Student: This is your opportunity to meet a number of industrial representatives from start-ups, SMEs and larger organisations, to practice your "elevator pitch" and explore the possibility of taking part in a funded placement.

Phone/ notepad so you can exchange ideas and contact details
