Event description

Description

A special Japanese cultural fundraising event in aid of Above and Beyond for Bristol Children's Hospital.

Our theme is 'One Thousand Cranes'. Cranes are one of the most mystical creatures in Japan. According to a Japanese legend, anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods, such as good luck, happiness, long life, or recovery from illness or injury. Join us on 24 June to help us complete our 'One Thousand Cranes' which will be donated to the hospital along with fund raised for children going through treatment for cancer.

Aside from the 'One Thousand Cranes', the charity event will also feature other traditional Japanese cultural activities for participants to experience, including Kimono dress up, Ikebana, Japanese Calligraphy, and Tea ceremony (booking required). There will also be a cafe corner with tea, coffee, and Japanese snacks for sale, as well as a raffle with several prizes at the end.
