Event description

Description

The theme of this year’s Bristol Law Conference is 'Artificial Intelligence vs The Legal Mind.' This is an entirely student-led conference and is always a highly anticipated, sold-out event. The event is open to the students, staff and the public. This year it’s taking place on Saturday the 24th of November 2018 in the Great Hall of Wills Memorial Building. Doors open at 10.30 am and the conference will begin at 11am. The morning attendance ticket will allow you entry until 2pm and the afternoon will allow you entrance from 1pm until the end of the conference. We would advise getting both slots as the conference ends with a panel discussion.

We’re honoured to host some very exciting speakers this year including:

(Morning speakers below)

Christina Blacklaws (President of the Law Society of England and Wales)

Prof. Dave Cliff (Computer Science Professor at the University of Bristol)

Alex Hamilton (CEO and co-founder of Radiant Law)

(Afternoon speakers below)

Lord Justice Briggs (Supreme Court Judge)

Dr. Paul Killworth (Deputy Director of Strategic Policy at the GCHQ)

Dr. Miranda Mowbray (Computer Science Lecturer at the University of Bristol)

We would also like to thank our corporate sponsors who have made this event possible:

Allen and Overy, University of Law, Osborne Clarke, Burges Salmon, TLT LLP and Freshfields
