Bristol’s Ambitions: A Vision for a Low Carbon Future
7.45am – 10.00am, Tuesday 23rd June 2015, The Engine Shed, Bristol
The June Low Carbon Business Breakfast will focus on the question of how cities such as Bristol can achieve their ambitions to be innovative, prosperous and sustainable.
Andrew Garrad, Chair of Bristol 2015 will talk about the ways in which the European Green Capital Award is growing Bristol’s international reputation and how the accolade reflects the city’s long established green aspirations.
The decisions we make about what and how we build are fundamental to our sustainable aspirations. Shankari Edgar, Founder and Director of Nudge Group, will discuss how taking a different approach to developing places for people can produce better, lower carbon buildings and lifestyles.
Nick Sturge, Director of Engine Shed and SETsquared Business Acceleration Centre will look at some of the lessons learned during the development of Engine Shed and will share his exciting vision for Engine Shed II, in particular his intentions to create an exemplar in forward thinking green design.
