Thank you for your interest in joining us for our upcoming training session: Neurodivergence Inclusion in Community Sport. We are looking forward to having you join us.

What will I get from Neurodivergence Inclusion Training?

Neurodivergence Inclusion Training is designed to increase confidence, competence, and knowledge to deliver fun and inclusive activities for all abilities and needs. The workshop explores the experiences of Neurodivergent people in a sport context, and what we can do to ensure the best experience possible. There will be opportunities to share your own experiences, and hear from peers and facilitators.

What will I learn?

Neurodivergence Inclusion Training covers:

  • Introduction to neurodiversity and neurodivergences – including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia
  • The importance of understanding neurodivergence and neurodivergent experiences in a sport and physical activity context
  • Barriers and challenges neurodivergent people face within sport and physical activity settings
  • What a neuro-inclusive sport environment looks like
  • How you can adapt and tailor your programme and sessions to be inclusive for neurodivergent participants

Who is this Training for?

This Training is suitable for anyone who works or volunteers in community sport, or uses sport to engage children and young people. This may include coaches, centre managers, administrators, officials or other relevant roles.

What can I expect?

This Neurodivergence Inclusion Training will be run in person and will include opportunities to learn from your facilitators about real world experiences, discuss with peers, and develop ideas together. Yes, there are designated disabled parking bays available near the entrance. These are non-height restricted and available on a first-come, first-served basis
