Bristol PA Network presents "step outside your comfort zone"
Mon 8 May 2017, 17:30 – 20:30 BST
For our spring event, we are asking members to step outside their comfort zones, with an opportunity for everyone to be inspired and to inspire others.Time to disrupt your dreams!
The first part of the evening will be spent with our keynote speaker - the warm and mellow Glyn Blaize, Founder of Northstar Innovation Group. Glyn had a promising rugby career ahead of him in the late 90’s playing for Wasps, England Students u21s and The Rugby Lions but his sporting career was cut short by a horrific sporting injury which saw him in hospital for six weeks. However, this was the catalyst for Glyn to pursue a new career and he’s now a successful entrepreneur and public speaker - specializing in motivational topics. Glyn’s favourite quote is “you can have anything you want in life, as long as you help as many people as you can get what they want in life”. Our favourite quote from Glyn is “it’s not the dreams you dream when you’re asleep that matter, it’s the dreams you have when you’re awake”.
The second part of the evening is the challenging part - there are five opportunities open to attendees who want to have a go at public speaking - no previous experience necessary! Speak on whatever topic you want (or sing, or dance, do a magic trick!), for between one and five minutes. We challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and give it a go in a supportive and non-judgmental environment - all supported by our lovely facilitator, Zahra Ash-Harper.
