SNAP AND LEARN BRISTOL ZOO GARDENS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP FOR HOME EDUCATED CHILDREN AGED 5-16 YEARS.

TUESDAY 4TH JUNE

Times: 10am-4pm (with 30 minute lunch break)

You can drop your child at the meeting point, with there consent form and collect at the end of the day or you have the option to join us at the zoo for the day for discounted price of £11.90 payable on the day to us. if bringing extra children not taking part in the photography workshop these are charged at £6.80 per child with under 2's going free. please drop us a email to conifrm in advance total extra numbers for the day. (we settle direct with the zoo as a group)

This is a Full day workshops and each child we have their images digital transfered to the after the workshop for you to print, share and use at home toward their home education. many of our prevous children on our workshops have gone on to find out, search and write about the animals that had photographed during the workshop.

Tutors: Hannah Cochrane BA (Hons) SouthWest based photographer, and educator studios owner who runs a community photographic studios company in Plympton Plymouth, as well as covering a range of photography styles and commercial work, working with award winning businesses in Devon & Cornwall. Hannah is DBS checked and will also have a photography assisntmant Lucy Jone on the day also a photographer.

Course Overview

This fun and creative day photography workshop will give participants the chance to experiment with photography and photograph animals getting closer to them with trained animal handlers (all included in the price). Participants will use digital SLR cameras and use professional photographic lenses.

You will have a 1 hour workshop with the zoo staff in the eduction room learning more about the animals and have the chance to ask questions to the trained animal handlers staff on the day. Photographically you will learn how to take stunning photographs of animals in captivity and have special close encounters with the animals.

This is a amazing opportunity to photograph a vast array of animals at Bristol Zoo, everything from lions,meerkats to African penguins and gorillas.

Entry Requirements: Courses will cater for mixed ability levels and no prior experience is required. All Cameras will be supplied and digtal images transfer to you after the event.

What you will need: Comfortable walking shoes, hat and sun cream or rain coat (if needed) water and packed lunch.

Bristol Zoo Photography Workshop
Location: Bristol Zoo
Time: Meet at Bristol Zoo reception for at 10.00am

-Introduction to creative and fun use of Digital SLR Camera
-The chance to use professional telephoto and macro lenses to zoom in close to animals
-Creative use of shutter speeds and Apertures (to select what part of the animals you want in focus)
-Understand exposure
-Introduction and hints and tips to photographing animals in captivity

A consent form will be sent a week before the course, along with confirming meeting times and to confirm number of adults and extra childrening attending the day put not the workshop.
