Dear race equality city partners,

Thank you for your interest in attending Bristol’s 2nd Race Equality Gathering to be held on Wednesday 21st July 2021 – 2pm to 4pm via Zoom (details to be shared with all attendees registered through Eventbrite nearer the event).

This Gathering has been scheduled as an agreed action from city partners following the first Race Equality Gathering held back in November 2020 which was the first of its kind to be held in Bristol on a city-wide level.

City partners have expressed a desire to deliver these Gatherings to ensure we create opportunities to connect the city on tackling race inequality across all sectors. The event provides a platform for Bristol’s race equality groups to share and learn more about the city’s range of work to further develop awareness and to enable future collaboration in tackling race inequality.

This event will be Chaired by Deputy Mayor Asher Craig and attendees will also hear from the Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees.

At this event focus will also be given to Bristol’s economy and how delegates and city organisations can play their part in helping Bristol to build back better. Additionally attendees will be given opportunity to share latest updates and details of key upcoming events and initiatives (including Race & the City 2) to those wider stakeholders present.

Meeting agenda and papers will be sent to all individuals registered on Eventbrite in the weeks leading up to the Gathering so please ensure you confirm your place through the ‘Register’ box at the top right of this web page.
