Event description
Tweet of the Day authors Brett Westwood and Stephen Moss will guide you through some of the losses and gains of British wildlife.

About this Event

From beavers to bee-wolves, harlequins to herons, British wildlife is changing rapidly. Brett Westwood and Stephen Moss guide us through some of the losses as well as the many surprising natural history gains in our fauna, some  of them on our doorsteps. Our gardens are  home to jewel-like  rosemary beetles and the huge hornet hoverfly: there are exotic slugs and snails a-plenty; in Worcestershire many of us can see the ivy bee, new to science in 1993, from the kitchen window. Peregrines hunt from city spires and red kites float over farmland, while it’s hard to believe that when Brett and Stephen began birding, the little egret was a fabulous rarity.  This talk explains the stories behind our changing wildlife and will inspire you to look for the unexpected wherever you go.

The talk begins at 7.30pm but Brett and Stephen will be signing books in the foyer from 6.30pm.
