Description

BritainThinks Breakfast Briefing
Tuesday 27th November | 8.15am for 8.30am

Workplace monitoring technologies are increasingly being used by employers across the UK to keep track of what their employees are doing. Advocates say they can help improve the safety of workers and improve business practices, but there are equally concerns that they can impinge of workers’ rights, reveal a culture of distrust in staff and demoralise employees.

In May 2018 BritainThinks were commissioned by the TUC to explore the UK workers’ awareness of workplace monitoring, the impact these technologies are having on them and workers’ attitudes to these technologies. In this Breakfast Briefing we will talk through the findings from this research and the potential implications of these findings for policy.

The briefing will take place on Tuesday 27th November at 8.15am for 8.30am and will kick off with a presentation from our senior team. We will then open the floor to you, with a roundtable discussion on the implications for your organisation and any questions you have about the process. The event will be finished by 9.45am and breakfast will be provided.

If you would like to attend please register on the event page. If you have any questions please contact Carla at cingram@britainthinks.com or on 0207 845 5880. It would be great to see you there.
