About this event

Dr Aminul Hoque is a lecturer in the Educational Studies Department at Goldsmiths College

Aminul was born in Bangladesh, his family came to the UK when he was just three years old and settled in Bethnal Green.

His film tells the story of the Bangladeshi community in Tower Hamlets, their struggle and heritage, through the experience of different generations of his family.

It is a powerful film that is intimate and universal at the same time.
