LEARNING FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

This is a FREE course designed for all GTCS registered teachers and early years' practitioners in Scotland. Participants are required to attend all 3 sessions:

Kilmaron School, Cupar, Fife on Tuesday 30 April, 2019 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Kilmaron School Cupar, Fife on Thursday 9 May, 2019 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Online Follow-Up Session on Wednesday 12th June, 2019 from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Focussing on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals which seek to make our world a safer, better, cleaner, more just and fair place for all, it provides the opportunity to meet the staff from your local Development Education Centre and to discover the latest resources and activities for bringing this exciting context to your classroom or building on what you are already doing. Recent footage from "Blue Planet" shocked many people but lots of teachers, pupils and schools are taking action.

It will explore:

Central ideas in global citizenship and links with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Classroom activities for all stages for exploring the Sustainable Development Goals.

Links between SDGs and Rights.

Good practice, ideas and case studies from across Scotland.
