British Shooting proudly present the 2016/2017 National Schools 10m Air Pistol Championships

The National Final to be kindly hosted by the Welsh Target Shooting Federation, on
Wednesday 25th January 2017 at
Sport Wales National Centre, (Sophia Gardens Cardiff CF11 9SW)

Individual Event: (Age as of School Year - All mixed gender categories).
Junior (Year 6, 7 & 8), Inter (Year 9, 10), Senior (Year 11, 12 & 13)

Team Event: Top 3 scoring athletes from the same establishment, in the same age category will be totaled to give their team score. (Scores extracted from the athlete’s individual qualification round). 
Junior, Inter, Senior Team categories.

Who Qualifies for the National Final? All 8 Individual Finalists from each age category and Top 2 Teams from each age category will qualify.

Individual Competition (NB: Junior – Double or single handed, Inter & Senior – Single handed shooting)

Competition Format:
Qualification - 20 competition shots
Final – Scores zeroed. Top 8 competitors from qualification round progress to the Knock-out Final.

Finals Format: Junior, Inter and Senior Finals. Each category mixed gender.
The 8 athlete's scores are go to ZERO
Final Knock-Out Format:
3 shots (on one target in 150 secs) Score and change target
3 shots (on one target in 150 secs) Score and change target
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) – Afterwards 8th Place is awarded
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) - Afterwards 7th place is decided
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) - Afterwards 6th place is decided
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) - Afterwards 5th place is decided
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) - Afterwards 4th place is decided
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) - Afterwards 3rd place is decided
2 shots (each in 40 secs on command) – Afterwards 1st and 2nd places are decided.

What is the day timetable?**PROVISIONAL** Full timetable to be distributed after the closing date.

Junior: Registration 09:30am Qualification 10:00am Final 11:15am Prize Giving (Ind & Team) 12:15pm

Inter: Registration 10:15am Qualification 10:45am Final 13:00pm Prize Giving (Ind & Team) 14:00pm

Senior: Registration 11:45am Qualification 13:45pm Final 14:30pm Prize Giving (Ind & Team) 15:30pm


What is the refund policy?
The entry fee is non-refundable

Sharing & Borrowing Air Pistols:
Maximum of 3 competitors can share one pistol. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE TIMETABLE. It’s the team leader’s responsibility to ensure a clash doesn’t occur where 1 or more athletes need to use the same pistol at the same time. Finals and Qualification ranges will run concurrently.

Pistols can be borrowed from the event organisers, but there is a limited amount which will be lent on a first come first served basis. Please email events@BritishShooting.org.uk   

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
