About this event
The Annual Council Meeting (ACM) is a one day event open to all British Youth Council member organisations. It is a chance for us to come together, review what we have achieved over the past year and shape what our organisation will look like in the coming years, through discussion, debates and voting.

Who can attend?
All British Youth Council members are invited to attend and each organisation has an allocated number of young people they can register to attend ACM as voters and observers, based on the number of young people you represent and the membership fee you pay (see table here). The young people attending must be representatives of your organisation and aged 25 or under on the day of the event. Please note, in order to attend your organisation must have a paid membership fee for 2020/21. If you have any questions contact: membership@byc.org.uk
What happens at the event?
The day will include:
- Debate policy motions submitted by members, and vote to decide whether or not they get added to our manifesto (list of motions above).
- Elect young people to our Board of Trustees and as UK Young Ambassadors.
- Elect our Honorary Presidents who are annually drawn from representatives of the three main political parties in the House of Commons.
