Event description
An evening of beautiful songs and haunting melodies within the intimate setting of The Old Church, inspired by and in support of nature.

About this Event

For her upcoming new single 'Mother', Luise aka Broken Forest is inviting you to a very magical evening with special guests and full band performance at the Old Church, Stoke Newington, on Thursday the 24th of October.

The evening is not only to celebrate some of London's most inspiring female artists, but also stands in the name of Broken Forest's big love: Nature.

We hear a lot of sad news day after day about the state our planet is in, which can bring along daunting thoughts about what the future holds. Therefore Broken Forest is creating this evening to celebrate the beauty our world still beholds and the positive steps we can take to make a difference towards protecting it.

So come and step out of the hustle and bustle of London's busy street's into the calming beauty of our natural world, vegan friendly drinks and catchy song.

But this is not all! The money that you decide to spend towards the event ticket will be equally split between paying the artists and supporting Sea Shepherd UK's new Ghost Net Campaign. You'll find out more details on that during the event or click here.

For the special music entertainment Luise has invited Yazmyn Hendrix, experimental multi-genre singer and songwriter, who creates beautiful harmonies and effects, through her voice and Loop Station, as well as singer/songwriter with a message at the heart of the lyrics she pens Tendai.

So all that's left to do is grab your ticket and we can't wait to see you at The Old Church on October the 24th, Doors open at 19:00!

Tendai

An exciting addition to the burgeoning UK music pool, Tendai is a singer-songwriter with a message at the heart of the lyrics she pens. Her collaboration with grime/house producer T.Williams, their track 'Think of you' was a crowd pleaser and a BBC radio 1 track of the week, in 2013. This was followed by performances at prestigious venues such as the Red Bull stage at Notting Hill carnival, The Jazz cafe in Camden and Notting Hill Arts club, to name but a few.

She also featured on hip hop rapper and producer Artcha's 2019 summer offering 'Circles'. Lauryn Hill, Kelis, Jill Scott, Aaliyah and Enya have inspired her musical alchemy, with her current material synergising soul and eclecticism of all things British, this is an ambassador the UK can be proud of.

Currently working on her EP, Tendai is set to define herself as credible artist, though song and the pen, her journey continues, will you join the movement?

Yazmyn Hendrix a London-born singer and songwriter. She is also synaesthetic; meaning she associates each song, each word and each instrument with different colours, shapes and textures. She channels this sensory information into her music. She is a vessel of raw emotion, melancholic yet hopeful and angelically real. Often using a loop station and her voice to create live layers of soulful harmony, she also enjoys performing with bands and the odd string quartet.
