Frequently asked questions

Who can attend the workshop?

This workshop is designed for children aged 8-12. If older children are interested, we are happy for them to attend. If younger siblings below age 6 would like to join in, we have a colouring activity they can enjoy but due to capacity, this may need to be in a different part of the library.

How long does the workshop last?

Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes, including hands-on activities and discussions.

What kind of activities will my child be doing?

Kids will: Take apart and explore broken objects, learn about sustainability and upcycling, and get creative with hands-on activities.

Do I need to bring anything?

If your child has a broken toy, please bring it as long as it has no sharp edges and remains in an appropriate condition for children to explore.

My child has additional needs. Can they take part?

We aim to make our workshops as inclusive as possible. If your child has specific needs, please let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

What if we can’t make it after signing up?

Please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the spot to another family.
