Bromley Changes Young People's Substance Misuse

Event Type: Online

We will cover:

  • how the illicit and legal drugs marketplace is changing
  • new forms of substance use
  • popular drugs used by young people
  • what are the novel, new drug trends that young people are enticed by, and what are their associated impacts.

A contextual look at adolescent substance using behaviour, role of peers, the teenage brain and developmental behaviours. Looking at recreational and dependent users and the unique risk-taking profile associated with them.

A useful exploration of good practise within a drugs prevention agenda: what works? how can we use the principles and ethos of harm reduction to educate about drugs, prevent their use from escalating and reduce drugs related harm?

There will be time for questions at the end of the session.
