Brompton Bats: A surveying walk

Dusk is a special time to experience the nature of Brompton Cemetery. As birds are settling into their roosts for the night, bats begin to emerge to flit amongst the trees. Join us for a guided walk to search for bat species such as common pipistrelles and soprano pipistrelles.

Help Nature Thrive is undertaking surveys at Brompton this autumn to discover which bats are travelling through the cemetery or using the trees to roost. We’ll be using a variety of surveying and detection methods, including specialist bat-detectors that render the bats’ echolocation calls audible to the human ear. These will be really special evening walks where you can experience nature in a whole new way.
