Immerse yourself in the ancient art of bronze casting in this hands-on workshop where you'll craft your very own Bronze Age axe head using traditional techniques.
This workshops offers a rare opportunity to experience metalworking as our ancestors did thousands of years ago with expert Bronze Caster, Jonny Cope.
Your journey begins with an engaging introduction to bronze casting methodology and essential safety protocols. Watch in wonder as molten metal transforms before your eyes.
Under expert guidance, you'll master each step of the process—from precise mould-making to the mesmerising pour, followed by the satisfying process of finishing your piece through fettling, grinding, and polishing.
We'll provide all safety equipment and refreshments.
Dress warmly in full-length trousers and sturdy footwear for this primarily outdoor experience.
