THIS TRAINING IS FREE FOR PROFESSIONALS WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE IN CORNWALL ONLY.

This training will allow you to be able to supply self testing postal chlamydia tests to young people aged between 15-24, with in your organisation. If you are unsure if it is suitable for your organisation please email Rachel (see above).
This training can also be used for GP surgeries using the tests for under 25 year olds, as well as for pharmacies wanting to offer chlamydia testing kits.
The training aims to enable participants to
- Know what chlamydia is and how it is treated
- Ways to start a conversation with a student around testing for chlamydia
- How to fill in the form correctly
- How the young person needs to complete the test and where to send off
- Understand how the young person will receive their results
- How to re-order testing kits
The training and will take around 1 hour, we will allow extra time for any questions. Once registered we will be able to send you a link for the training, this will be via email a few days before the training event, it will be held on Zoom.
Attendance at this training is free of charge, as are the supply of testing kits.
This can be used as a refresher for those who haven't tested in a while and also for any new members of staff at exisiting outlets.
