What do business organisations want from their external coaches? How can you meet the needs of the various stakeholders involved when you coach in an organisational context? Delivering real value to a business is about more than doing marvellous one-to-one work. Sophie Turner introduced coaching to her law firm when it was still new, edgy and viewed with suspicion. It is now firmly embedded and Sophie will share her views on what coaches need to offer:

• An awareness of, and engagement with, the needs of the coachee’s line manager and other stakeholders

Sophie Turner is Partner Development Coach at Pinsent Masons and is responsible for coaching at the firm. A trained Meyler Campbell coach herself, Sophie specialises in developing leaders, enabling them to access more of their abilities and potential and enhance their performance. Alongside her current role she is studying for a PhD at the University of Middlesex in Business coaching. Sophie has always enjoyed shaking things up in professional service firms; has a boundless intellectual curiosity; and relishes being a catalyst for change. One of her recent innovative coaching projects at Pinsents has been to work alongside Meyler Campbell to provide coaching for the firm's talent management programme; Aspire. Outside work, she can often be found walking and enjoying the peace and quiet of the Worcestershire countryside.
