Description

Young people are decision makers: they are making decisions everyday about who they are, who they want to be, and therefore, they are deciding what this city will be like in the future. Young people are powerful. We just don’t treat them as such.

We want to help you tap into that power; unlock deep insight into what they think the city’s biggest opportunities and challenges are and help you to find better ways to build on that wisdom in a way that improves your city, your business, your citizenship.

Building on the unparalleled success of the Brum Youth Trends Summit in 2018, we’re back on Thurs 24th October 2019 at Town Hall Birmingham, bringing together over 400 people to get first access to the 2019 report.

As one of the participants from last year said “Europe's youngest population and yet the city looks like it's been designed for boomers, office workers and their cars exclusively.”

At Brum Youth Trends Summit you can expect:

  • Hear from key decision makers and from young leaders about how the report will influence they way they think, work and interact with the city

  • Explore data art, hear stories and see performances

  • See the trends and predictions that we feel will impact youth culture in Birmingham in 2019 and beyond.

“With so many well informed, talented and passionate young people living in Birmingham we have the opportunity and frankly the responsibility to place them at the heart of everything we do for the future success of our city and of our region. We are home to immense talent that will be part of the future development of this great place.” Deborah Cadman (CEO West Midlands Combined Authority)

“What a sensational piece of insight.” Martin Reynolds (Commonwealth Games Foundation)
