Event description

Description

You might be able to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?

The 'Walk the Talk' Workshop Series consists of 4 one-hour sessions, every Wednesday at 1-2pm. These will be hosted by David Riley, Entrepreneur in Residence for Brunel University, and will take you through four key areas in entrepreneurship. The speakers are very successful entrepreneurs who have been involved in the start-up and growth of a series of profitable, award-winning businesses.

The first session focuses on public speaking: a skill that comes in handy for presentations and pitches, whilst also being applicable to how you present yourself in a professional context such as meetings.

The first workshop is free to all Brunel Students, but the next three will require you to either be a member of Brunel Entrepreneurs Society, or pay £5 each per session. It costs just £10.50 to join Brunel Entrepreneurs Society for the academic year, and gives you free access to events both at Brunel and others in London. It's also a great opportunity to meet other likeminded individuals and learn new skills that will be useful no matter what industry you go into.

The workshop series is as follows (these may change order, exact order tbc.):

21/02/2018 - Public Speaking
28/02/2018 - Personal Branding
01/03/2018 - Networking
08/03/2018 - Goal Setting

More information will be available closer to the time, so make sure to sign up for your ticket so we can send you the updated information before the event!

Can't wait to see you all there,

Hannah Coombs,
President of Brunel Entrepreneurs Society 2017/18
