Brunswick Wharf - The Golden Age
Sun 30 October 2016, 16:30 – 18:30 GMT
An encounter with Brunswick Wharf through audio, video, story telling, movement theatre and a short exploration across the bridge (and back) to help you to explore and experience the “feel” of the place- its contrasts and contradictions, its aspirations and even its romance. The grass has always looked greener on the other side of ... a passage of time.
The audience will encounter some of the more serious aspects of the place as well as delving into fantasy and fiction. You will be guided into the encounter with Brunswick Wharf while retaining an objective view through dusk into 'sodium orange' darkness.
This event is aimed at adults and children over 14. The encounter lasts approximately one hour, and we will re-gather in Latte and Lunch for the opportunity to wind down, warm up and chat, with the option to purchase some suitable refreshment.
Donation of £2 per person for the encounter will be collected on the day.
This event is part of Bideford Bay Creatives' 'Way of the Wharves' project, a one year community project researching and celebrating historical and contemporary activities and life on the Wharves at East the Water, Barnstaple Street,Torrington St and area.
