Better Start Bradford Shared Learning Event: A Focus on Perinatal Mental Health

8:45am - 12:30pm (registration 8:45am - 9:15pm)
Our next Shared Learning Event will take place during Safeguarding week and will be held at City Training Conference Centre in Bradford.
Tea and coffee will be available for you on arrival from 8.45am, whilst you sign in, network and have time to visit the information stands. Drinks and light lunch will be available for you from 12.00pm.
To help us host you well with resources, seating and catering, please book you place by Wednesday 12th October 2016.
In the Better Start Bradford three wards around 1 in 6 women suffer some form of anxiety or depression during pregnancy or following the birth of their baby. Learn how to support these women and their babies’ at the most important time in their lives.
We are pleased to have two speakers with wealth of Knowledge on Perinatal Mental Health. This will help us all as we seek to improve the lives of children and their families in the Better Start Bradford area and beyond.

Who else will be there?
Through our Better Start Bradford Learning Together events we aim to provide on-going networking and informal learning opportunities for any front line staff, volunteers, parents and families in the Better Start Bradford area. These networking events provide an opportunity for you as the 'Better Start Family' to also find out more about the new opportunities available to families in the area.
So, if you work with expectant mothers, very young children and their families in the Better Start Bradford area, then we would love to see you there. This event is also open to colleagues from across Bradford district but these places are limited and are available on a first come first served basis. You will be contacted once you have booked to confirm you place.
How do I get there? Is there any parking?
The best option for those who are coming by car is to park in the City Training Conference Centre car park. This is free for network event delegates on a first come first served basis. To access the car park turn left at the top of Chapel Street and the entrance is on your left. The barrier will open as you drive up to it and you will require a token to exit.
The venue is a 2 minute walk away from the Broadway Shopping Centre (Westfield Development). See the map below provided by the CTCC for options of route.
There is also on street parking available, which is pay at the meter. Burnett Street car park is opposite the conference centre car park and charges £4 for a full day.
The entrance to the conference suite is by using the door at the very top of Chapel Street, on the corner of the building, the Lister Suite is on the first floor. If you need to use a lift, please use the door slightly lower down the building (opposite the old Olicana House).
