BSc Paramedic Science Co-Design Day
Thu 18 May 2017, 10:00 – 15:00 BST
Glasgow Caledonian University are seeking around 15 members of the public to help design an exciting new full time undergraduate degree programme - BSc Paramedic Science
The modern paramedic treats and cares for people locally, or in their home, to assist in reducing avoidable hospital admissions, as well as for emergency situations. On this programme, students will learn alongside other healthcare practitioners reflecting the collaborative nature of working in a modern healthcare system. The course is the first of it's kind in Scotland.
We would like to hear from you if you have experience of needing to use the ambulance service in either an acute or chronic capacity because your lived experience will ensure that the skills students develop on this course meet the needs of patients in Scotland.
Travel expenses and lunch will be provided and all guests will have the opportunity to have a tour of our state of the art simulation teaching laboratory. We would be delighted for you to attend and contribute to creating our programme.
If you have any dietary or other requirements we should be aware of in advance or any questions, please call our Community Engagement Coordinator, Susan Grant on 0141 273 1486 or email email@example.com.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking: although no general parking is available on campus, there is ample space available at nearby car parks.
The University has a small number of disabled parking spaces onsite. If you are a Blue Badge holder and want to find out about these please call (0141) 273 1934.
