BSL & Action on Deaf Queer Identity & Pride

Deafinitely Theatre's BSL & Action on Deaf Queer Identity & Pride event is a deaf-led, all-day gathering bringing together people with lived experience, expertise and curiosity to share learning, explore ideas, and work towards meaningful actions for change.

This year’s theme connects with our new production Barrier(s) - a deaf lesbian love story exploring society's barriers and focuses on LGBTQIA+ challenges faced by young people.

Through a series of facilitated conversations, we’ll explore themes like: marginalised identities, building confidence and resilience, celebrating role models and representation, and understanding how media and culture shape our experiences.

This FREE event offers a valuable space to connect, reflect and collaborate - ensuring deaf and LGBTQIA+ young voices are heard, celebrated and empowered.
