09:30-09:45 – Welcome from the Chair (Dr Angel Chater)
09:45-10:45 – Keynote: Professor Chris Armitage, Chair in Health Psychology, University of Manchester
10:45-11:05 – Break
11:05-12:05 – Keynote: Professor Kevin Fenton, Strategic Director, Southwark Council
12:05-12:30 – Poster discussions
12:30-13:15 – Lunch
13:15-14:00 – BSHPN Annual General Meeting (non-members can enjoy a walk or further poster viewing & networking)
14:00-15:00 – Best Practice Partnerships in Action - case studies & structured discussion
15:00-15:30 – Break & ‘Match-making’ service
15:30-16:30 – Keynote: Professor Robert West, Professor of Health Psychology & Director of Tobacco Studies, University College London
16:30-16:45 – Final plenary & Close
16:45 onwards – Optional social activities: drinks in the Conference Aston bar, dinner at a local restaurant



What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The best travel option is public transport. There are excellent rail links into the centre of Birmingham, and Conference Aston is no more than a 15min walk from all the mainline stations. Birmingham International Airport is also just a 10min train journey from the centre of Birmingham. If you do wish to drive to the conference, parking is available on site but is chargeable and must be pre-booked. Please email for details and to reserve a space.


What are my accommodation options? 

If you wish to stay overnight, Conference Aston has an onsite hotel offering bed and breakfast for just £99 for conference delegates. Please email for further details.


Are there bursaries available?

Behavioural Science and Public Health Network

The Behavioural Science and Public Health Network is for professionals interested in all domains of public health wishing to develop an understanding of health and wellbeing from a behavioural, social and psychological perspective. We aim to share best practice and maximise the opportunity and insights of this multidisciplinary approach by embedding behavioural science into public health practice.

Our members have a variety of backgrounds and specialist areas, and include behavioural scientists, health psychologists, behavioural economists, social scientists, public health consultants and practitioners and those working and training in these areas.
