Talk for Bedford Sustainability Week 2021 which runs from 10th-16th May

About this event

With Oliver Rubinstein – County Adviser (Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire) National Farmers Union

Meat and dairy production can often be an emotive issue when it comes to climate change, but are all the criticisms leveled at livestock and dairy producers justified for farmers in Bedfordshire? What role does well-managed livestock play in sustainable farming systems? Is the impact of meat and dairy production the same around the world? What is being done to make meat and dairy production as sustainable as possible? Oliver Rubinstein is the County Adviser for the National Farmers Union, representing around 500 farmers across the county. Having previously worked as an agricultural sustainability consultant for several major food companies, as well as a sustainability researcher and in agricultural production, Oliver will draw on this experience to objectively examine some of these sustainability questions.

You will need to register your space via EventBrite beforehand, where you will be then sent a access link for the Zoom meeting when it is about to begin (usually on the evening before the event)
