One night. One mic. One mildly stressed man doing an hour of stand-up, crowd work, and whatever else spills out of his phone notes.
After years of hosting Kiwi’s Comedy Club and introducing some of the biggest names in Irish comedy, Gary Pollock is finally taking the stage solo for one night only at The Playhouse in Portrush. Not quite the Edinburgh Fringe, but it’s the closest he’s getting this year.
This is a Fringe-style, pay-what-you-feel comedy hour, featuring sharp stand-up, unplanned crowd work, and some of the weirdest videos from his social media algorithm. It’s loose, informal, a bit chaotic, and (hopefully) very funny.
🪑 Free to reserve
💸 Bucket donation at the end (cash please – Gary has two kids and a diesel car)
📍 The Playhouse Cinema, Portrush
🎟️ Friday 8th August, 8pm (Doors 7:30pm Show 8.00pm - over by 9.30pm)
Think of it as a soft launch for a future Fringe show - or a desperate man’s cry for attention with a projector.
Either way, come along.
