Make your own Bucket Worm Farm and learn about the power of worm farming to transform organic waste into the worlds finest fertiliser.

About this event

We are very excited to be delivering our first Bucket Worm Farm Bin Workshop at our beautiful new site based at FarmEco Comunity Care Farm, Screveton, Nottingham.

Worm farming - otherwise known as vermiculture - is the practice of utilising the composting worm to convert organic waste into a nutrient rich fertiliser and compost, containing all 14 nutrients essential for healthy plant growth development and eradicating the need for harmful synthetic fertilisers.

During the workshop we will convert a 10 litre bucket bin into a worm farm, learn how to best care for your worms and how to make the best use of worm manure for a thriving organic garden.

All materials, equipment and worms are provided. No experience with an electric drill necessary, we will support you all the way throught the conversion.

If you are arriving by train we can pick you up from the station, just let us know.

There is a great cafe on site and a beautiful free nature walk if you want to make a day of it.
