Volunteer Managers’ Network – The Value of Networking

Networking is an essential aspect of any voluntary and commuity sector role. As a Volunter Manager, networking isn't always a top priority, but it can be a vital tool for attracting new volunteers, sharing insights, and growing your community.

Join us at our next Volunteer Managers' Netwok meeting on September 18th (10am-12pm), at the Aylesbury Community Wellbeing Hub, where we will explore the real value of networking, how it can support your organisation, your role, and your volunteers. Whether you are new to volunteer management or have been working with volunteers for several years, this meeting aims to help you get more from your peers.

This networking meeting will also include:

  • An update from the Volunteer Bucks team
  • Special guest speaker: High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire Pippa Kirkbride
  • The opportunity to network with other local Volunteer Managers from across Buckinghamshire

Who should attend?

Anyone (paid/unpaid) who is involved with recruiting/managing volunteers for charities, community groups or social enterprises that deliver services in Buckinghamshire. Whether you’re new in your role with lots of questions, or an experienced manager.

The event is for organisations whose beneficiaries are in Buckinghamshire, priority will be given to organisations with a turnover of £100,000 or below.

Guest Speaker:

Pippa Kirkbride (High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire 2025/26) has a strong connection with the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector. She has supported multiple charities over the years and has dedicated her time as High Sheriff to advocating for volunteering. Pippa believes volunteering strengthens communities, increases societal benefits, and provides individuals with a sense of purpose.
