About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Many people are aware of Buddhism but don't really understand its roots and practices. Andy Spragg brings us this very popular four-week course (four one-hour sessions, talking you through the fundamentals of this ancient spirituality) covers four main areas.1. Buddhist Origins and types of Buddhism. Why is it all about Mind. Introduction to mindfulness, being with the five senses. 2. Working with the Mind. mental objects and the Vedanas. 3. Micro Moments for Meditation. How to practise all day, every day. Waiting, rushing, judging and judgement. 4. Compassion towards ourselves and others. An opportunity to experience Buddhist Meditation to a greater level. Director of The Sangha House, Taunton, Andy Spragg has 35 years of meditation experience and has been teaching for 15 years. Author of The Magic of Noticing. Talks, meditation and written materials all included in the course. Even if you have some experience of meditation this is a great opportunity to remind ourselves of the basics. Andy’s good humoured gentle, no-jargon approach will guide you.
