Description

Rochester Independent College are proud to present Bugsy Malone the award winning musical at the Brook Theatre Chatham. Bugsy Malone follows the rise of titular character Bugsy Malone, the aspiring starlet Blousey Brown and the battle for power between Fat Sam and Dandy Dan.

This fun gangster style musical features the talents of our wonderfully talented students from Years 7-12 who have all worked tremendously hard to bring this fabulous show to the stage. A showcase of singing, dancing and most importantly plenty of splurge, our students are involved in all aspects of this performance including lighting, staging and even the accompanying live band.

Please come and support us as we put on this family favourite, it will be sure to have you dancing and chuckling in your seats. We can’t wait to see you all there.

Just beware of the any stray splurge!

Please be advised that tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis. Seats will be allocated to you and you will be notified of seat numbers three days before your chosen performance date.

Founded in 1984, Rochester Independent College is a day and boarding school offering a fresh alternative to traditional independent education for students from the age of 11 to 19 and boarders from 15. There is no uniform, students and staff are on first name terms and the average class size is 8. RIC focuses on the highest levels of academic achievement while retaining a creative buzz. The College provides first class GCSE and A level teaching, including successful retake programmes, to students aiming for top universities.

RIC’s Mathematics, Science, English Literature and Film Studies teaching have all won awards from The Good Schools Guide in recent years who also say: “It would be hard to find better provision for an artist.”

RIC occupies a historically distinctive site with listed Georgian buildings linked by award-winning wildlife gardens creating a unique sense of place in which to live, work and study. The campus is as unique as the school itself, with an underground theatre space, an outdoor classroom shaped like an igloo and steel sculptural musical gates that form a landmark piece of public art. All boarding is on site, in single rooms, some with ensuite facilities.

University destinations include Natural Sciences at Trinity College, Cambridge; Astrophysics at Edinburgh; Computing at Imperial; Medicine at Oxford; Veterinary Science at Liverpool; Law at LSEr; Aerospace Engineering at Bristol and Fashion Marketing at UAL’s London College of Fashion.
