Join us this Halloween for a fun and hands-on experience creating bat boxes that will help support local wildlife that live along our Durham coast.
Discover more about these fascinating creatures and how small actions can make a big difference to nature.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL: Book a group slot - perfect for families or friends (one booking is for one group, up to 6 people per group).
Work together to build two bat boxes, one is for you to take home, and one is for our Coastal Grasslands Reconnected project and will be installed along the Durham Heritage Coast.
This event is being delivered as part of the Coastal Grasslands Reconnected Project, which aims to create and restore the wildflower rich magnesian limestone grasslands along the Durham Coastline. The project is a partnership between Durham County Council, the National Trust, and Durham Wildlife Trust. Coastal Grasslands Reconnected is funded by the Government’s Species Survival Fund.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet in the classroom at the Dunes Cafe, Crimdon Beach.
