Day class for beginners
In this class you will build an attractive shelf for your wall.
- You will learn and carry out the following skills:
- Marking and measuring
- Cutting material to size using the Mitre Saw
- Creating support brackets using templates and the Bandsaw
- Machining profiles to the shelf and the brackets using the Router
- Using the router, create Dados to receive the brackets
- Fixing the brackets to the shelf using joinery techniques
- Attaching hangers to the shelf for wall mounting.

General information for your visit.
Please wear clothes suitable for dusty work, sensible shoes and bring your own lunch. Please wear warm clothes in the winter. The workshop can feel very cold due to the concrete floors in the building. There is a local shop nearby if you wish to buy lunch or you can bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and coffee is provided throughout the day.
