Event description
How does Community Engagement help us to deliver a green and sustainable recovery from Covid-19?

About this Event

Covid-19 changed our lives. It has also reinforced weaknesses in our economy and society that mean marginalised communities suffer the most. As lockdown eases, society has an opportunity to build back a better world: one which is fair, robust and sustainable. As Sustainability Champions and Pathways Students, we have a role to play in helping to shape what that world could be, particularly in relation to environmental and social justice. Throughout semester one, we'd like you to develop your understanding of how sustainability can help to "build back better".

Join us to hear from Community Engagement Programme Manager Sarah Anderson on the remit of Edinburgh Local, it’s importance in delivering on our commitment to Civic responsibility and how this can help deliver a green recovery. We will also hear from one of our community partners on how we bring sustainability and the community engagement to the forefront of our institutions/workplaces.

This event is open to all but will be of particular interest to Students on the SRS Pathways and Sustainability Champions.
