About this event
This is a relaxed, in-person workshop in my home studio.
It's perfect for beginners, the nervous-but-curious, or anyone wanting a pressure-free place to start.
You will get hands-on with a sewing machine, practice basic stitches, try out techniques, troubleshoot common issues, and build real confidence in a supportive space.
Each class is limited to two participants for a more personalized, hands-on experience.

Sewing Machine Basics
- Identifying key parts of the sewing machine
- How to thread a sewing machine step-by-step
- Winding and inserting the bobbin
- Changing the needle and presser foot
Foundational Skills
- Practicing basic stitches (straight, zigzag, etc.)
- Sewing curves and corners with control
- Troubleshooting common machine issues
And if time allows…
- Simple seam finishes
- How to insert a zipper or buttonhole
- Starting a mini project to take home something you have made
By the end of the session, you'll walk away with practical skills and, most importantly, real confidence to continue your sewing journey with clarity and excitement.
Frequently asked questions
You don’t need to bring anything. Sewing machine and sewing tools will be provided.
Each workshop is limited to just 2 people, so you will get plenty of personal attention and guidance in a relaxed, supportive setting.
That’s completely fine! I designed this workshop to build your confidence, no matter your starting point. With a small group size, you will get hands-on guidance at your pace, plenty of support, and time to really get comfortable using the machine.
Tea/Coffee & Water provided.
My home studio is not wheelchair accessible. Free street parking available.
