About the Course
Want to build and manage your own WordPress website but don’t know where to start? This hands-on, small group training will guide you step by step through the process, with plenty of personal support along the way.
During the session, you’ll gain a solid understanding of how WordPress works, including how themes and plugins fit together, and learn how to define your brand’s look and feel using colours, fonts and global settings. You’ll map out your website structure, create menus, and set up easy navigation so visitors can find what they need quickly. You’ll also learn how to use the WordPress block editor to design and build pages, add content confidently, and apply best practices in SEO, accessibility and design to make your site stand out.
Each participant gets their own pre-prepared development website, complete with premium tools already installed, including Astra Pro, Gravity Forms, and Yoast SEO.
What’s Included
Your course fee includes one year of free hosting and maintenance (worth £390 + VAT if purchased separately), your own development site to practice on during the session, and expert guidance throughout the day. The small-group format, limited to just five participants, ensures you’ll receive plenty of individual support and feedback.
What You’ll Need
To get the most from the session, you’ll need to bring a working laptop and, ideally, have a domain name ready to use. If you don’t already have one, help will be available to get this set up. It’s also helpful to bring your brand basics (such as your logo, colour palette or fonts) along with any text or images you’d like to start building into your site.

Pricing
The course costs £150 + VAT (£180 total per person). This includes a 4.5-hour in-person training day, your development site with premium plugins pre-installed, and one year of hosting and maintenance.
If you choose to continue after the free year, you can keep both hosting and maintenance for £39 + VAT per month, or hosting only for £17 + VAT per month.
Lunch & Breaks
We’ll break for lunch from 12:30 – 1:00. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, just bring your own lunch.
