Event description

Description

Earlier this year Matthew Taylor’s 12th Chief Executive’s lecture made a strong case for a step-change in the use of deliberative democracy in the UK. The RSA has teamed up with Involve - the UK's leading public participation charity – to start this work and together we are building a broad-based campaign for deliberative democracy in the UK.

Join us for an interactive online workshop where we will share our ideas for deliberative democracy and how to accelerate its uptake. We also will be asking you to feed in your perspectives, including:

  • Why deliberative democracy, rather than other approaches?
  • Why now? Is there a greater energy for change now than before?
  • What are the barriers to increased deliberative democracy practice?
