Thu 16 February 2017, 17:30 – 20:00 GMT
Natwest is partnering up with Glamorgan Law, Brinsons Estate Agents and Mitchell & Meredith Accountants to discuss the changes in the Property Market and the changes in Taxes
Rebecca Goldsworthy joined Glamorgan Law in February 2015 when the firm merged with Freed & Co Solicitors. she specialise in residential conveyancing including re-mortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions. Rebecca also has more than 10 years’ experience dealing with wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate.
Rebecca has worked in Cardiff for most of my professional career and enjoys building long standing relationships with her clients and contacts who have come back, time and time again and referred her and Glamorgan Law to their family, friends and colleagues.
As a firm they pride themselves on offering a dedicated personal service to their clients. They have specialist Property Departments in each of our four offices (Cardiff, Caerphilly, Pontypridd and Cowbridge) and clients have direct access to the solicitor acting and their assistants.
Ian Mitchell from Mitchell & Meredith will be talking about the changes in taxes for Buy to Lets.
Ian is a Chartered Accountant and Managing Director of his Accountancy company, Mitchell Meredith.
They have offices in Cardiff, Merthyr, Brecon and Llandrindod Wells, as well as two part time offices in North Powys. They provide all the usual accountancy services, but are also regarded as Business Growth Specialists.
In 2015 Mitchell Meredith was awarded “Best Independent Firm in Wales”, and in 2016 “ Most Innovative Firm”. The company thrives on being professional, approachable, and exceeding their clients ‘ expectations.
Ian’s talk today focusses upon the changes in regulations affecting Property Rentals, and which progressively took effect from April 2016. Investment in property has long been regarded as a safe and sensible option, and in some instances has been known to improve the profitability of your company. Recent changes need to be understood so as to be able to take the correct decisions. For instance, there are now subtle differences in the treatment of Residential, Holiday, and Commercial Property which could easily influence the choice of investment.
Ian’s specialises in combining his accountancy skills with a sound practical approach to business issues, and has many tools and resources at his disposal to enhance the skills and expertise necessary for his clients to succeed. He will be available for discussion at the end of this evening and looks forward to meeting you.
