NITE's free professional development series offers short, impactful sessions led by experienced educators to support the professional growth of teachers and school leaders.

Undertake your own Action Research Project.

Join this, the first of three sessions, to learn more about how action research can inform and enhance your practice in school. The series will take you through the process of designing and undertaking a small scale action research project in your own classroom.

With guidance from experienced researchers at NITE, you will have the opportunity to carry out a project on an area of your own interest, improving teaching and learning in your setting. You will also learn about the ethical considerations of school based research and how to share your findings with the educational community.

Book tickets now for all three sessions:

  • Monday 17th November 4-5pm
  • Monday 19th January 4-5pm
  • Monday 27th April 4-5pm

Is this for me?

This Professional Development would be suitable for more experienced teachers looking to develop their skillset and branch out into more research based approaches to their practice. It may also be beneficial for less experienced teachers to pair up with a more experienced colleague and carry out the action research together. Teachers from Primary, Secondary, FE and HE are all welcome. It is an excellent introduction to level 7 study for those wishing to pursue further academic qualifications, and a unique opportunity to enhance your expertise in your own setting for future career progression.
